Deleting a curtain wall grid from the basic curtain wall type in Revit Architecture is quite straightforward. Select the grid (use TAB key if needed) and press the delete button. However, if the grid was created using the (out of the box) Storefront type or any other type that 'generated' the grid.
How to remove curtain wall panels to show elements behind.
Causes:
Curtain wall panels cannot be deleted, and can only be changed to a different type.
Solution:
Replace the panel with an empty panel.
1. Hover your mouse over the panel you would like to 'Remove'
2. Using the 'tab' key, select the panel.
3. Unpin the panel (you might have to go to the 'select' drop down menu and check the 'select pinned elements')
4. After the panel is selected and unpinned, change it's type to 'empty'.
5. You should now be able to see through the empty panel to objects behind.

Revit; Revit Architecture; Revit LT; Revit MEP; Revit Structure;I have several instances of the same curtain wall in a project. For some unknown reason, one of the instances will not let me do anything to it - stretch, rotate, mirror, delete...and even the 'pin' is grayed out. When I click on the curtain wall, the only thing that appears is the double arrow 'flip wall' symbol. The 'make element editable' and 'configure grid layout' symbols do not appear. The only thing I seem to be able to do is move or copy it.
The other instances of this same curtain wall are fine. The 'flip wall', 'make element editable' and 'configure grid layout' symbols all appear when I select them, and all of the normal operations are available to me.
This is a local copy of a central file, however I am the only one working in it today, and have tried working with the wall in the central file directly.
Any help would be hot.
